The TalkBack feature on Android devices, including the OnePlus 13, is a helpful accessibility tool designed for visually impaired users. It allows the phone to speak aloud what is on the screen, providing auditory feedback for various actions.
However, if you accidentally enabled TalkBack or simply don’t need it, navigating your phone can become a bit challenging. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to disable TalkBack on your OnePlus 13.
TalkBack is a useful feature for visually impaired users, but if you don’t need it, it can make navigation a bit tricky. You can turn it off to return your phone to normal operation.

Disable TalkBack On OnePlus 13
Turn OFF TalkBack via Settings
To begin, launch the Settings app by swiping up with two fingers to access the app drawer, then select Settings and double tap on it to open. For navigation, you will need to use two fingers to scroll. You will also need to select an item to highlight it and double tap to open.
Next, scroll down with two fingers and select Accessibility & Convenience. Here, select the Accessibility option.
Ensure you’re on the Vision category. Here, you should see the TalkBack option. Tap on it.
Select the TalkBack option, then double tap to toggle the switch off. A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm you want to disable it. Choose Turn Off to confirm. TalkBack will now be inactive.
Disable TalkBack via Shortcut
If the TalkBack shortcut is enabled, simply press and hold both Volume Up and Volume Down buttons for about 3 seconds. You will hear a prompt confirming that TalkBack is off.
Turn OFF TalkBack via Switch
To turn off TalkBack, you can tap on the TalkBack switch and wait for a prompt saying the switch has been focused. Then , double tap on the switch.
In the dialog box displayed, tap on Stop, then double tap on the button to stop TalkBack.
